Thanks for the info. Research in a pet project of mine has led me to the names Sam & Harry Rothberg, coowners of ‘ American Distilleries (Peoria, Il – c. 1940’s). Their names come up as original investors in Bugsy Siegel’s Flamingo Club in Las Vegas – Nov. ‘45. Would you have any info on the Rothbergs or American Distilleries? Any direction to other reference sites? Thank you.

I am a descendant of Zeally Moss. Zeally was my grandmother’s (Alice Mae Moss) great grandfather. Her father was William Lewis Moss, son of William Simms Moss, and grandson of Zeally Moss.

I have a photograph of Mossville, Zeally’s home.

THanks for the well written article on Emma Abbott. By any chance did you discover an archive of Emma Abbott materials. I have found and skimmed Sadie E. Maritn’s book on Emma, but found no list of the members of her company. I am trying to prove a hunch that a certain Luna A. Lewis was a member of her company and if so was she a singer or a seamstress with the company.
